How to Choose the Right Wedding Kosha for Your Hall

A guide to choosing a wedding kosha: the right size for the hall's width and height, fresh or artificial flowers, lighting, and the mistakes that spoil a kosha in photos.

Start from the hall, not the photo

A kosha that looks stunning on Instagram can feel small in a wide hall or cramped in a narrow one. A working rule is for the kosha to cover roughly a third to a half of the stage wall, with clear space left above it below the ceiling.

Height and sight-lines

The deeper the hall, the higher the stage must be so guests at the back tables can see the bride. This is calculated together with the kosha height and the aisle length.

Fresh or artificial flowers?

Fresh flowers bring scent and life but react to heat and their price varies with the season. Premium artificial flowers are indistinguishable in photos and allow larger designs. Many brides combine both: fresh near the bride and on tables, artificial in the large backdrops.

Lighting is half the kosha

Warm light from the sides and front brings out detail and shows a white gown in its true colour. Always ask to see the kosha lit in the 3D design before approving.

Common mistakes

Too many competing colours, a backdrop blocking hall exits, an aisle too narrow for the gown, or a kosha that ignores ceiling height. Inspecting the hall before designing prevents most of them.
