UAE Wedding Planning Checklist, Step by Step

A practical timeline for planning a wedding in the UAE: what to book six months ahead, what to confirm a week before, and what happens on the night itself.

4 to 6 months before

Fix the date, approximate guest count and budget, then book the hall or hotel first — it is the hardest thing to secure in wedding season. Book the kosha and photography right after, since both depend on the venue date.

2 to 3 months before

Choose the DJ or band, the hospitality (coffee servers, buffet, sweets) and record a personalised zaffa. Ask for a 3D design of the kosha and hall to see the final look before it is built.

One month before

Send invitations, fix the seating plan and table count, and agree the running order: reception, zaffa, dinner and cake cutting. Arrange security and phone privacy for the ladies' section.

One week before

Confirm final numbers with hospitality and catering, check the crew's access time at the venue, and hand the playlist and zaffa to the DJ and photographer.

On the night

Setup starts hours before guests arrive and one coordinator runs the programme and suppliers, so the couple and family never need to answer a call. Everything is dismantled and the venue handed back afterwards.
