Kosha and seating
Henna night is calmer than the wedding: a kosha in warm colours (green, gold, burgundy, orange), floor seating with cushions, lanterns and low lighting.
The henna corner
A comfortable, well-lit spot for the henna artist and her tools, close to the bride and away from walkways, with tissues and a place to wash hands.
Hospitality
Coffee and dates, luqaimat and chebab fried in front of guests, Omani halwa and fruit. Heritage hospitality suits the night better than a formal buffet.
Music
A ladies' band or tagaga brings the henna spirit, or a female DJ with a Gulf playlist. The whole crew is female.
Favours and photos
Small henna pouches or perfumes as favours, a female photographer, and phone privacy at the door if the family prefers.
